Meeting Max

We had a great Valentines Day. I took the boys to the library in the morning to see Max from the Max and Ruby books. Jaden was so exciting but or course didn't want to get too close. When it came time for pictures with Max, Logan wasn't too exciting about the idea either.
Later that day Scott and I were able to go out on a real valentines date, which may have been a first for us. We just went to dinner and then walked around HomeDepot thinking of all the great improvements we could make to the house if we just had an extra couple thousand dollars laying around. It was wonderful to spend time with the love of my life.

This bounce house went on sale this week so we picked one up (meaning my mom will pay us back when they get back in town) for my parents house. The boys were in heaven the entire time. So Meagan, Spencer, Ethan, Mackayla, and Bradley tell your parents to bring you to Yakima to come play with us here!

Back from my blogging hiatus

It has been a crazy couple of weeks, so here it is in a nutshell. We moved to Yakima on a Wednesday, made an offer on a house that weekend, and then took off for a week to Idaho/Utah. As soon as we got back Scott started his new job and we tried to get into a new routine here. We are looking to close on our house next month and in the process of getting the inspection, appraisal and all that jazz completed.

Our new home

Somehow I let Scott convince me to allow Logan to ride with him in the big moving truck

Logan and Carson

We took the kids to walk around BYU and tour the new Hinckley Center. Jaden insisted that he push Logan around in the stroller. He is the sweetest big brother ever!

Logan trying to give Bradley a hug.

We took the kids the Bean Life Science Museum on BYU's campus. They were a little nervous but thought it was pretty neat. Jaden kept asking me if they were going to come back to life soon.

We were able to attend the Draper temple open house while we were there with Scott's parents and Kacey & Tyler.

Because it's so busy they bus you to the temple, the kids thought it was pretty neat that we weren't wearing any seat belts.

Back in Yakima. The boys are loving having Jackson and Mitchell around to play with all the time!

Update on our move...

I mentioned that we were moving in the last post but failed to give any details. So for those who haven't heard, we are moving to Yakima, WA. Scott has taken a position with Edward Jones Investments. We have been thinking about making this transition for a couple of months, but finally decided to make the move.
The crazy part of all of this is that we decided Friday to go ahead and pack up and leave Pullman THIS WEEK! My parents and sister had already planned to come over on Friday for Scott's birthday so while they were here we packed a bunch of boxes, loaded up my dad's truck and send Jaden home with my parents. So now it's Monday and we have most everything boxed up, and are loading the moving truck tomorrow! Since we are very experienced movers it isn't stressful to move in couple of days (if so I definitely wouldn't be blogging).
So now we are off for what we are planning on as our permanent destination. Since we are moving so quickly we are headed for my parents basement...Whoowoo! Hopefully that is very short term and we can find our perfect first home quickly.
I'd better get back to packing....here are a few pictures of Scott's birthday.

Husband Tag

Awhile back my sister-in-law Halsey tagged me with a husband tag and I never got around to doing it, but I just got tagged again by my friend Christina. Since Scott's birthday is this week I thought it would be a good idea to follow through. Here it goes...

Scott's 5 favorite things
1 His wife
2 Playing with our boys
3 Sports
4 Changing jobs/Moving
5 Family bike rides

5 Things on Scott's to-do list
1 Turn in his official resignation to his current employer
2 Get a moving truck reserved
3 Collect boxes
4 Pack
5 Clean the floors (I always have that on his list)
*If you haven't caught on we are moving again!

5 Snacks Scott loves
1 Chips and salsa
2 Crackers and cheese
3 Ice Cream
4 Popcorn
5 Gummy worms

5 Facts you may not know about Scott
1 He is the best thank you note sender I've ever met
2 He is an amazing hula hooper (according the wii fit)
3 Has read Twilight...and liked it
4 Taught an ice skating class at Ohio University
5 For as big of a sports fan as he is he rarely watches any sports on tv

5 Places he has lived
1 Preston, ID
2 Provo, UT
3 Paraguay
4 Athens, OH
5 Seattle, WA

5 Quirky things about Scott
1 Every time Scott wakes up from sleeping somewhere other than his bed, he jumps up like a fire alarm just went off asking in a panic "what's going on, what happened!?" I'm not sure why it confuses him so much to wake up in a lazyboy with a book on his lap.
2 Lacks the ability to whisper.
3 He loves lighthouses, rainbows, and waterfalls.
4 He thinks that chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is too much...like there could ever be too much chocolate on something .
5 He never complains, which means I have to do it twice as much to make up for him. The things I do for the love of my life.

Finally Christmas Pictures

So I am finally getting around to putting up our Christmas pictures, it's been sort of a whirlwind around here since we got back (I'll get more into that soon after everything is final). We had a great time at my parent's house. We stayed for about two weeks and Scott was able to be there the whole time which was the best part.
We went bowling twice, Scott took Jaden skiing twice, played lots of games, ate lots of yummy food, and just enjoyed hanging out with family.
I love that bunny ears are eternally popular among 7 year olds.
My cousin's roommate was spending Christmas with them and he came over on Christmas Eve decked out as Santa, so the kids were able to get in their last wishes.
Christmas Morning

My boys have been really sad since we came back home, they really miss playing with their cousins!

Snow!

We have had more than 5 feet of snow here in the last 2 1/2 weeks! Today the roads were so bad that the athletic director sent out an email saying that unless you drive a tank don't bother trying to come to work today. Since we decided not to purchase that tank we had our eyes on last spring, Scott was able to stay home today!

Different snow mound, same cute boy!

There are two cars parked on the side of the road hidden under the snow...can you find them?
