Fun in the sun

We have had beautiful weather over the weekend and the boys took full advantage of it. From the moment he wakes up until he goes to bed Logan is crying to go outside. Most of the time the boys like to ride bikes, but they also helped me garden a little and love to go on walks. Yesterday the boys tried out one of Jaden's new birthday presents - a porcupine water sprinkler.

Showing off their beach bods!

The water was pretty cold so Logan soon gave the sprinklers up for bikes.

We attached the bike tailer to J's bike and both the boys loved it. Jaden actually does a really good job at pulling Logan along.

We tried go go biking last Saturday along the Cowiche Canyon trail, but it turned out to be a flop. There was like 6 inches of gravel on the trail so we gave up not very far into the trail.
We've been on several safari adventures around the neighborhood

Of course when I a picture of one boy, I must immediately take one of the other.

Swimming at Uncle Jim's birthday party last night.

Aunt Sharon brought out (actually in) some alpacas for the boys to pet.

My baby turns 4!!!

Yesterday was Jaden's birthday. We have been celebrating a little all week, but Jaden was very excited for his big day to finally come around. He is such a grown up boy that I often think he must be older than four, but then I have I hard time believing I have a kid that old. Jaden has been saying that he wanted a hot dog birthday party. I wasn't sure exactly how to go about so we settled for going to Costco for lunch to get a foot long hot dog and drink and then having a bbq for dinner.
We kicked off the morning with a candle floating in his ceral.

Jaden wanted to get out the bin of halloween costumes to play dress up while eagerly waiting for his party to start.

Logan ate his entire foot long hot dog!

The happy birthday boy enjoying his dog and drink.

Jaden spend a lot of time this week sitting on the couch staring longingly at his presents.

We were so happy that Grandma Davenport was able to come to the party despite all the stairs we have.

We were hoping for better weather, but the boys still braved the cold and ate outside.

The rest of us staying inside.

I think Jaden set a world record for the fastest present opener of all time.

What better way to end a great party than with cake!
