Heart Warming
As I was reading some books to Jaden tonight one of them mentioned a heart. I was talking to him about how our hearts are inside our bodies and we can't see them. He then looked at me nervously and said, "Mommy I don't want my heart to go away, because then I have to get a battery". I'm not exactly sure what my grandma must have told Jaden about her new pacemaker she got put in a few months ago, but he for sure doesn't want anything to do with it!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't snow very often here so it was pretty exciting when we looked out the window this afternoon to see huge flakes falling from the sky and sticking to the ground! We waited until there was a pretty substantial amount of snow before we went outside (well really we were just waited for Scott to get home). Despite the fact that we don't have a yard of any sort, Jaden loved playing in parking lot. We even got Logan outside for a few minutes...he didn't enjoy it quite as much as the rest of us though.
A few nights ago we built our gingerbread house. Jaden loved it! He took his decorating job very seriously, but still managed to sneak in quite a few bites of the candy.

I love my chubby baby!
As it turns out I didn't take very many pictures of Thanksgiving, but here are a few recent pictures of Logan. He is getting bigger everyday!

BYU Game
Here are my boys watching the BYU game last week.
The game couldn't quite hold Logan's attention
I think Jaden looks big in this picture, it's hard to believe that he just turned 2 1/2 last week!

Parenting 101
I think this a pretty basic concept - when your kid does something wrong, do your best to discourage them from doing it again. It seems so simple, but what about when they do something so hilarious that you can't stop laughing? For example the other day I walked into Jaden's room where he has been playing by himself for literally a minute and a half to find him stripped of all clothes and sitting on top of his headboard. Now I know that in this situation he wasn't doing anything too wrong, but I really don't want to encourage him to strip down at any given point in the day, and he isn't suppose to climb on the headboard.
Unfortunately for me it struck my funny bone and rather than tell him with a straight face to get down I laughed for awhile and told him to sit still while I fetched the camera. A teaching opportunity lost, but a great memory caught on film.

Logan's Baby Blessing
We blessed Logan this past Sunday and were grateful to have some family come up for it. It was fun to have everyone together for lunch after church, we love to be able to show off our beautiful baby.
Logan will be 4 weeks old on Thursday and has already grown so much! He is much more alert these days and is starting to spend a little more of the day awake. He doesn't care too much for tummy time and has rolled over to his back several times. It makes me a little nervous that he is starting his mobility so soon...I don't know what I'm going to do when I have two boys to chase around all day.
People always ask me how I'm doing since I had the baby, if I'm able to get any sleep. The answer is YES! Logan sleeps all night long and has since he was just a couple days old. He wakes up after 7-8 hours of sleep to eat and then goes right back to sleep for another couple of hours. We have been so blessed, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this miracle doesn't end soon.

College basketball season is getting started, which means we are going to see Scott a lot less over the next several months. While Scott's parents and sister Kacey were in town this week we all went to a University of Washington game. Both Jaden and Logan did great but I don't think I'm quite ready to handle the two of them by myself yet. Maybe I'll be more ambitious midseason.
Jaden has had a great time with all our visitors since Logan was born. I hope he's not too disappointed tomorrow when it's just mom around all day.
Logan with his Aunt Kacey who had only been home from serving a mission in Germany/Austria for one day before heading to Seattle for the blessing.

To Grandmothers house we go
We spent most of this week at my parents house in Yakima. My Grandma turned 90 on Tuesday so we wanted to make it to her party. Since Wednesday was Halloween we stayed in Yakima so Jaden could trick-or-treat in an actual neighborhood and so he could go to a halloween party with his cousins. Last minute I decided to send Scott back to Seattle to work and I stayed behind in Yakima for a few more days. Like always we had a great time!
