It's getting cold!

We were really lucky that our warm weather stuck around for as long as it did, but it is definitely feeling like mid-November now. I have bundle us all up to walk Jaden to the bus stop every morning, but at least the boys look adorable while doing it! I on the other hand am usually sporting an over sized sweatshirt and my slippers (no need for a picture of that).

On Veteran's Day Jaden had the day off of school and to make it even more fun he got to spend the whole day with Jackson. At breakfast I told the boys to eat up because they had a lot of work to do raking up all the leaves in the yard. They were pretty excited about it and spent the morning making invitations and tickets to the leaf raking party. After lunch it finally warmed up enough that they could go outside and they had a blast playing in the leaves.

Even Cannon got in on the some of the action!

I took several of these pictures and in each one Logan is holding tight onto Jackson's leg. My boys sure love their cousins.

Due to parent/teacher conferences Jaden only has half days all week. On Monday we decided to jump in the car after lunch and head over to Seattle to see Mitchell at the children's hospital. Mitchell was as cute as ever and seemed really happy to see his buddy "Yodan".

Cannon and Mitchell have matching hairdos now! This picture reminds me of one I have of Jaden when he was a baby sitting on the hospital bed with Spencer. We are lucky to be able to live close to family.

Jaden is playing basketball this fall through the YMCA and loving every minute of it! Scott is his coach which makes it even more exciting for him. The first two weeks were practices and last night he had his first official game. They don't keep score, but if they did Jaden's team would have destroyed the other team. Jaden scored a basket from pretty far out and got a majority of rebounds (it helps when you are a head taller than everyone else your age).

In other equally exciting news, Logan got the okay yesterday to stop wearing his sling. He is still not suppose to run around or jump (yeah right) as they are worried about him rebreaking the bone. He goes back in about 3 weeks for another xray and if it is still healing nicely than he will get the clearance to be a normal three year old.

Go Blue Lightning!!!

Within a few minutes of playing Jaden is already bright red and sweating like crazy. He gets that from Scott, not me!

Halloween 2010

We were lucky enough to get some visitors a few weeks ago. Tyler and Kacey stopped and stayed with us for a day on their way to Seattle. It was fun to have them and we put them right to work decorating Halloween cookies with us.

I was taking pictures of Cannon and he decided to show off for the camera and roll over for the first time. He did it three times in a row that night, but has yet to do it since. I'm really happy that I got to see him actually roll over, with both Jaden and Logan they rolled over for the first time while I wasn't looking.

Cannon loves to hang out in his swing. He has fallen asleep in there several times and usually holding on to the little toys like he is in this picture.

At Jaden's school only the kindergartners get to wear their costumes to school. They wear them all day so the costume has to be recess and bathroom friendly. I convinced Jaden to wear an old costume instead of his new one so he went as Dr. Holt.

My wonderful Grandma turned 93 this year. Just like last year the people at Taco Bell (where she goes to lunch everyday) threw her a little party.

Cannon holding a double decker, Grandma Davenport's favorite! Grandma actually gave Logan his first bite of food - taco meat when he was only 2 or 3 months old ( I tried to fish it out as soon as I realized what had happened so I don't think he actually ate it).

We had a real birthday party for Grandma as well, Logan blew out the candles for her at this party.

Jaden and Logan LOVE Cannon and especially love it when he gets to do something they do. The boys thought it was the greatest to dress Cannon up for Halloween and were telling him all about trick or treating.

This is the view from my bedroom window. The picture doesn't do the tree justice, the leaves are so red that it usually looks like my bedroom is glowing. It's so pretty, I love it!

Never a dull moment

This has been quite the exciting weekend for our little Logie Bogie. Friday night Logan was wearing one of his dad's shirts and tripped on it while going down the stairs which resulted in a broken collar bone. The amazing part is that the ER visit was only an hour long total! It was a clean break so Logan just has to try to sit still (yeah right) and wear this sling to keep it stable. The first night was horrible, every time he moved he screamed out in pain. It has been four days and he rarely complains about it now.
Logan turned 3 yesterday which was a great distraction from his injury. We had a fun party with family. I usually make a pinata for the kid's on their birthday and this year Logan wanted a football. I make them by gluing on about a million crumpled up balls of tissue paper. After the party Logan took one of the balls of tissue paper he found on the floor and decided to shove it up his nose. It was too far up there for us to be able to get it out by ourselves so we got to take him the dr to have them remove it. We left that dr appointment and headed right over to the orthopedic center to get another x-ray (which showed the bone healing nicely) so it has been a busy morning.
Coming home from the emergency room.

The next day he was able to smile a little for a picture of his "cast".

The best part of getting hurt right before your birthday is all the balloons!

The poor kid didn't want to miss out on the fun just because he was injured, he tried swinging with his left arm.

Aunt Heather and Grandma Davenport enjoying the festivities.

Cannon partied too hard and finally had to crash out on the couch.

September

September has been a busy month and has flown past in our household. We started the month with Cannon's baby blessing, we took a weekend trip to one of our favorite places, Remlinger Farms, and we got used to waking up early for school every morning. All these pictures I uploaded are in reverse order and I'm not going to bother to try to switch them around.
Poor little Cannon has developed a flat spot on his head so in an effort to get him off of his head as much of possible we got him this bumbo seat. He likes it for about 5 minutes at a time but then wants to be held again. As you can see he is growing quite nicely. When I took him in for his 2 month check up he was 15 lbs 10 oz -97% and measured 98% for height. He really isn't quite as chubby as he looks in this picture.

Jaden and Logan love having Cannon join them in all their activities.

Chad and Amy had a little girl named Eden this month. She is adorable and makes my baby seem like a giant!

Grandpa Hatfield with Cannon and Eden.

Cannon is a big talker these days. He loves to smile and talk to anyone that will give him a little attention.

Logan misses Jaden while he is gone at school, but he is also loving having more attention. He also loves his new role of big brother. Today in the car the big boys were talking to Cannon. Jaden was saying "oohh Cannon you are so cute..." while Logan was saying "you're not a big brother Cannon..." Then Logan turned to Jaden and said, "Cannon said he wishes he was a big brother like us."

We stayed the night at a cabin at Ensign Ranch on our way to Remlinger Farms. The kids loved it, but I would have preferred to sleep in my own bed and just woken up earlier the next day.

Remlinger Farms is a (small) kids amusement park, perfect for my aged boys. They put on a little show and Jaden got to be a volunteer, pretty exciting stuff for a 5 year old.

Jaden's favorite part of the park was this roller coaster. There weren't any lines so as soon as he got off he would run around and get right back on. I think he rode it 15-20 times that day.

Scott took Cannon on the pumpkin ride.

Logan talked about riding a horse the whole week before we left but when it came time he just didn't have it in him to actually get near the horse. Jaden has made major strides in overcoming his fear of animals and rode the horse several times that day.

This is Cannon at 2 months, he won't fit into the infant carrier much longer.

The boys love going to Scott's office to help clean.

We were lucky to have a lot of family around for Cannon's blessing day. Scott's parents, both sets of his grandparents and our neice Sarah drove up from Idaho/Utah. My family (that lives locally) were there too, but somehow I didn't manage to get them in any of the photos.

This a random picture but I like it because it sort of captures Logan's mischievous look. Logan is a crazy kid and does pretty much anything he wants regardless of what we tell him. Right before he's about to do something he isn't suppose to he gets this little sly smile on his face that is hilarious me. The kid is so silly all the time, it's hard to get mad at him for being naughty.
There are 4 generations of Dean Holt's in this picture. Dean Holt, Alan Dean Holt, Scott Dean Holt and Cannon Dean Holt.
