Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! Scott's parents drove up from Preston to spend a few days with us, and we all had fun with a full house. We filled our time with parties, playing with toys, and eating lots and lots of treats! On Christmas Eve we had our annual dinner at Burger King, followed by a trip over to Uncle Jim's house where Santa showed up!

Jaden: I want a race car

Logan: I want a transformer

Cannon: I just want to eat your beard

After the Tree's house we headed over my parents house for festivities. Cannon and Eden needed a quick nap after all the excitement from Santa.

We were all so excited that Mitchell was able to come home for the Christmas weekend. I went and found Logan's and Mitchell's favorite dress up clothes and they had a good laugh putting them on again. (You can read more about Mitchell's progress here: http://mitchellhatfield.blogspot.com )

The six Yakima cousins

Grandma Hatfield with the two newest grandchildren.

The boys got to open their new pj's over at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Looks like Santa found our house!

Jaden and Logan ready to run out and see their loot!

Grandpa and Grandma Hatfield along with Aunt Heather stopped by for awhile in the morning to watch the kids open some of their gifts. Cannon didn't want to let go of Grandpa's hair!

The biggest hit of Christmas was all the spy gear the boys got. The love watching the Spy Kids movies with their Hatfield cousins and now the boys can be spy kids too!

Cannon got baby food in his stocking. He wasn't a big fan of applesauce!

Sunday night we decided to actually eat at our dining room table (instead of in the kitchen) and use our China for the first time. After nearly 8 years we finally have house and place to store it all.

The typical look I get from Jaden when I try to take his pictures these days.

Polar Express

The weekend before Christmas we took our kids on the "Polar Express." We told the kids we had a surprise for them, but never told them what it was. It took us about twenty minutes to drive out there and it drove them nuts not knowing where we were going. I wish I had on camera Jaden's face when he saw the train and realized that he got to take a ride on it. The actual ride to the North Pole was just a few minutes, but it was long enough for the boys to really think they went to teh North Pole. There wasn't a chance in the world that Logan was going to sit on Santa's lap, but the other boys did. I'm having trouble uploading the actual pictures with Santa, maybe one day I'll get them up here.

Thanksgiving Trip

The weekend before Thanksgiving we loaded up the car and headed down to Utah. Our first stop was in Lehi to stay with Jared and Melissa for a few days. While there Scott took the two big boys to the BYU football game. No trip to Provo would be complete without stopping at the Bean Museum on campus. The kids love to look at all the animals and it's free so even better for us!
Group picture in front of the elephant (you have to look at the next picture if you actually want to see the elephant).

Jaden, Bradley, Logan, and Mackayla showing off their bear growls.

It was so cold and windy for the game I wasn't sure how long the kids would last at the game, but they were champs and enjoyed every minute of it. Cannon and I showed up for about ten minutes toward the end of the game when they stopped taking tickets, the wind had slowed down so it wasn't too bad for the little guy.

True Blue Fan!

The first of hopefully many family pictures at Cougar Stadium.

After the football game we headed over to the Mariott Center to watch a basketball game. This is more fun for the boys as it wasn't so cold and they could actually get close enough to the game to see what was going on.

Both Jaden and Logan were determined to meet Cosmo, but in the end only Jaden was brave enough to take a picture with him.

Cannon is a perfect baby. He only cries when he is hungry or tired and settles right down when fed or given a nap. One morning at Melissa's house Cannon wouldn't calm down, he didn't want to nurse and nothing I did seemed to help. In walks in Melissa and he settled right down for her. I took him back and he started to cry again so back to Aunt Melissa who got him to sleep in a matter of seconds. I could of used her tonight during Cannon's second ever crying fit.

Later that morning Melissa snapped a picture of me and Cannon saying that mothers never get any pictures of them and their babies because they are always the ones taking them. That is very true and I think it is funny to compare what real life mommy looks like compared to a picture we had taken last month of Cannon and I during our family photo shoot. Tired, greasy, in comfortable clothes - that is the mom that my kids know.

After leaving Lehi, we headed over to Temple Square picking up Kacey and Grant along the way. My boys loved trying to show Grant around, not so sure he loved it though!

In one of the buildings they have a replica of the conference center podium, my kids enjoyed pretending to give talks at it.

We finally arrived in Preston, and the kids once again loved playing with more cousins. Sarah being the oldest took it upon herself to have storytime with all boys, they loved it!

Logan with "Big Grandpa," obviously he means tall.

Cousins!

We got to Idaho right before a big storm hit. There was so much snow to play in, my kids were in heaven!

It's getting cold!

We were really lucky that our warm weather stuck around for as long as it did, but it is definitely feeling like mid-November now. I have bundle us all up to walk Jaden to the bus stop every morning, but at least the boys look adorable while doing it! I on the other hand am usually sporting an over sized sweatshirt and my slippers (no need for a picture of that).

On Veteran's Day Jaden had the day off of school and to make it even more fun he got to spend the whole day with Jackson. At breakfast I told the boys to eat up because they had a lot of work to do raking up all the leaves in the yard. They were pretty excited about it and spent the morning making invitations and tickets to the leaf raking party. After lunch it finally warmed up enough that they could go outside and they had a blast playing in the leaves.

Even Cannon got in on the some of the action!

I took several of these pictures and in each one Logan is holding tight onto Jackson's leg. My boys sure love their cousins.

Due to parent/teacher conferences Jaden only has half days all week. On Monday we decided to jump in the car after lunch and head over to Seattle to see Mitchell at the children's hospital. Mitchell was as cute as ever and seemed really happy to see his buddy "Yodan".

Cannon and Mitchell have matching hairdos now! This picture reminds me of one I have of Jaden when he was a baby sitting on the hospital bed with Spencer. We are lucky to be able to live close to family.

Jaden is playing basketball this fall through the YMCA and loving every minute of it! Scott is his coach which makes it even more exciting for him. The first two weeks were practices and last night he had his first official game. They don't keep score, but if they did Jaden's team would have destroyed the other team. Jaden scored a basket from pretty far out and got a majority of rebounds (it helps when you are a head taller than everyone else your age).

In other equally exciting news, Logan got the okay yesterday to stop wearing his sling. He is still not suppose to run around or jump (yeah right) as they are worried about him rebreaking the bone. He goes back in about 3 weeks for another xray and if it is still healing nicely than he will get the clearance to be a normal three year old.

Go Blue Lightning!!!

Within a few minutes of playing Jaden is already bright red and sweating like crazy. He gets that from Scott, not me!
