Seaside, OR

We had so much fun in Seaside last year that we have been planning a trip back ever since. A few weeks ago the condo we had reservations at emailed us to say that they were behind on their renovations and were going to have to cancel us. We called around and found an open room at the complex next door and were very surprised at how nice it ended up being. You can never be sure on the weather on the Oregon Coast and so I was planning on it being cold and wet, but it was beautiful all weekend! At times the wind picked up pretty strong, but it was still amazing. We invited my parents to come along with us, hopefully they had as good of time as we did.

I love the swings on the beach!

The afternoon that we arrived was the coldest of the weekend so the boys much to their disappointment didn't get to play in the water, but they loved digging in the sand.

Last year Scott took Jaden on these bumper cars and Logan was SO sad that he was too small to go on them. He has been talking about them since and that was the number one thing on his agenda when we got to Seaside. He walked on his tip toes to the height line and stood as tall as he possibly could, and it worked the lady let him in. He had the biggest grin on his face the entire time.

Scott got up early to go for walk on the beach and came home with a crab he caught. The men cooked it up and Scott ate it for lunch that day.

More bars in more places...

At the touch tank in the aquarium Jaden dove right in touching everything. That says a lot about him, my little boy is defiantly growing up.

We spent Friday at Cannon beach. It was 80 degrees and we took advantage of it. The bigger boys were having so much fun and kept going up to Cannon and telling him how much they loved his beach. Jaden is our little fish, even though the water was freezing he kept wanting to go back in and jump in the waves. Logan preferred playing in the sand most of the day, and Cannon just wanted us to let him off the blanket so he could eat the sand.

Eight years ago we came to Cannon Beach on our honeymoon and look we still love each other!

While we were taking our picture by our names in the sand Logan found a stick and wrote his own name.

It's not everyday that you get a beach named after you.

This is what happens when you apply spray on sunscreen in the wind.

The best quote from the trip was from on the way home. Jaden had been sitting quietly in the backseat playing his leapster when he out of the blue asked "Why is Grandpa the only one talking?!" If you know my dad you know how funny that is!

That looks like a fun trip. Your pictures brought out both envy and laughter!

Yay for the beach! Thanks for bringing along Stanley - it made Spencer's day. I love Logan's bumper car face. From the few pictures I've seen, Cannon seems like the happiest baby. He sure has grown up since the last time we saw him! (as a one-day-old:))

You'd think after having three kids you wouldn't giggle when you kiss anymore!

That did look pretty awesome. We hope to someday make it there.

Chad wants to know if they still have "Wanted" signs up for when Heather drowned that guy.
